A Macro‐to‐Micro Interface for Performing Comprehensive Microfluidic Cell Culture Assays

چکیده

A new design of a macro-to-micro interface that can be used for simple and reliable control comprehensive microfluidic cell culture processes is introduced making procedures easily accessible to biological laboratories. The novel evaluated by adapting workflow single-cell, pair, cluster encapsulation into hydrogel beads acting as 3D microenvironment with subsequent long-term cultivation. For the first time, coupling single-cell time-lapse microscopy data phenotypic (immunofluorescence) genotypic (single-molecule RNA fluorescence in situ hybridization) endpoint measurements well downstream compatibility single chip shown. presented platform will valuable tool performing studies dynamic coupled multiparametric characterization at level gaining more detailed mechanistic insights gene function relationships behavior systems.
